Berlin, 27th of March 2014
The Cisco office in Berlin invited girls to explore career opportunities in the IT industry the 8th year in a row. This year a record number of 34 girls from 8 different schools attended the interactive workshop program that was conducted by a young apprentices team from our partner Deutsche Telekom.
Even more partners helped to make the event such a success. The event was supported by the e-Skills Week for Digital Jobs. A campaign that the European Union has called out to make young people aware of training and career chances in the IT industry. And the strategy seems to work: The feedback from the participants was very positive and some girls even want to dive deeper in IT and asked for internship opportunities later this year.
The “Cyberteam” from Deutsche Telekom. These apprentices conducted the interactive workshops and were a role model for the participating girls as they all learn an IT profession.
